UK cloud computing and managed hosting company iomart Hosting has come up with a novel way of sponsoring this year’s Internet World show at Earls Court.
The cloud computing leader is hosting a Wireless & Mobile Refuel Lounge so visitors can literally and metaphorically recharge their batteries while they are visiting the event.
Phil Worms, marketing director of iomart Hosting, said: “As Internet World veterans, we have lost count of the number of times people have popped onto our stand and asked if we have a power socket they could use because their iPhone, Blackberry or HTC has run down and they’re expecting an important call. So we decided to do something about it and have created an area where visitors can come to refuel both themselves and their phones, tablets and laptops.”
iomart Hosting is providing an area with over 40 power sockets, plenty of chargers and Wi-Fi connection. There is no cost for using any of these facilities.
The iomart Wireless & Mobile Refuel Lounge will also have a smoothie bar where visitors can enjoy a fresh fruit smoothie prepared by award-winning drinks company Sejuiced.

iomart Hosting’s Wireless & Mobile Refuel Lounge at Internet World will be open during the event’s hours - from 0930 to 1700 hrs on Tuesday 24 and Wednesday 25 April and from 0930 until 1600 hrs on Thursday 26 April.
