| Huddle.net joins British invasion of Silicon Valley | |
| 24 April 2008 Huddle.net, an online collaboration provider has been selected to attend WebMission 2008 in late April. WebMission is a UK government-backed initiative to showcase the best of British start-ups in Silicon Valley and to help them identify growth opportunities across the Atlantic. Huddle.net combines online collaboration, project management and document sharing using social networking principles. It offers an easy, secure and low-cost online service for everyone, from individuals through teams and enterprise to government. Huddle’s customers include Mastercard, Edelman and UNICEF. Many charities in the US have taken advantage of the Huddle Foundation’s ‘free to charities’ offer. Established in late 2006, the company now employs 18 staff in London. Huddle’s development team is led by former Sabre Holdings (Travelocity, lastminute.com) CTO, Jonathan Howell. Huddle is on schedule to release its API to developers in late April. “Being in a top 20 of UK Web 2.0 start-ups is great news for Huddle.
